Random Pictures from Storyland, NH

September 21, 2007

Here are some random pictures from our annual visit to Storyland in NH. If you have kids this is a must. The best part about Storyland is they cater to the younger kids. If you have a pre-schooler that is dying to get on rides or keep up with an older sibling they’ll feel like a big kid, they can even go on a big kid roller coaster with parent. There are a lot of cool rides. If you come in after 3 p.m. you get only 3 hours in the park BUT you get a free ticket for another visit and that can be all day! There is a heigh requirement so you will want to check your child before you head out for the day.

Enjoy!

garden pictures

September 20, 2007

These are some pictures from my garden 2007. I didn’t do much this year, barely even watered everything. I did start some stuff from seeds, this was my first year of success with seeds. Usually I ended up killing the seedlings. Anyway, I really like the zinnia’s, the colors just make me happy… they look like candy flowers. I can’t wait to plant tons of zinnias next year.

I am going to the store in the morning to buy several trees. At least 2 red delicious trees and 2 peach trees. I just hope they can survive these cold Maine winters. I’ll be back with pictures from that shopping trip…

Wordless Wednesday Miss Knight – not waiting to be rescued

September 19, 2007

Here’s my Wordless Wednesday

I love this series of pictures… girl2004 commandeered boy2001′s knight set. She didn’t want the girly tiara and boa I bought for her, she wanted to wear his stuff which was so adorable. We were at Storyland and several people commented on it because she was so into being a knight. I guess I’m going to have a hard time keeping her in dresses and bows.

It worked out fine though since the set was really too small for boy2001 which is ok, it’s not like he doesn’t have 3 other knight outfits! Speaking of outfits reminds me of costumes and I have three to shop for right now!

Speak Japanese Fast – an update

September 18, 2007

Japanese is fun! I went to Borders Books the other day and was shocked by all the manga on the shelves. Japanese is definately a language my kids will want to know for pop culture reasons and possibly for work reasons.

The only thing that I have been able to stick to lately has been studying my Japanese. Remember I’m doing that Speak Japanese Fast course I blogged about? I’m progressing well and the best part is I remember a lot from one session to the next!

Well, I’ve been doing really well, practicing about 20 minutes a day and running through a lot, I just wish I had someone to practice on! The system is really easy and simple, no complicated schemes or boring and long explanations. Everthing in Speak Japanese Fast (to order) is straight forward and to the point. Don’t waste another minute, cram all the Japanese you can into your head.

an extraordinary day

So, how’s your monday been? mine has been way too busy/hectic/stressful. Nothing in particular, just the regular business of 3 little kids to manage and cuddle.

It was a really nice day, gorgeous and sunny, a little chilly in the wind but otherwise perfect. The girls and I got to meet Daddy for lunch which made it an extra special day. I have so much to blog about it’s not even funny!

I did get something off my chest on my gather page, it’s not suitable for children so I didn’t post it here on PajamaMom, boy2001 did see this movie but I fast forwarded the scene I discuss in my post.

I also saw ‘The Secret’ several times this weekend and I can tell you I feel so much better. I am only attracting good things from now on! I told boy2001 and girl2004 we could make vision boards as a craft – can’t hurt right? I can’t wait to see what they choose to attract.

Be back soon…

Manic Monday Meme – The shocking Truth

Manic Monday Meme

Q: If you could enter a racehorse in the Kentucky Derby, what would you name your horse?
I would name my horse trekker after my favorite tv show living or dead, Star Trek.

Q: What famous person, whom many people find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
I never understood why people thought Robert Redford was attractive, he doesn’t appeal to me at ALL.

Q: Which foreign country are you least interested in visiting?
I am least interested in visiting Guyana (just picked a country I’m least likely to go to – no offense).

Sat Special Meme

While sailing on vacation the sea gets rough and your boat hits against the rocks of an island, you immediately start singing the Gilligan’s Island theme… “a three hour tour…” but fear overcomes and a worried look crosses your face.

In front of you is a small cliff with a lighthouse, you immediately jump out of the boat and run up the rocky slope to the lighthouse. On the way I battle geckos, snakes and flies but am victorious in all these confrontations.

You are able to climb the cliff and enter the lighthouse, when lightning strikes the lighthouse and it burns. Nearby there is a chicken coop and you roast a few drumsticks and collect some eggs.

Happy to be able to eat and sleep in a warm comfy place, you snuggle up in a small barn like structure, the hay and horse blankets the only assurance you won’t freeze through the night.

Mighty World Adventure Truck Playset: Toys at Play

September 13, 2007

I was thrilled to receive a great playset from Mighty World toys the other day. The Mighty World Adventure Truck by International Playthings. Boy2001 has been playing with this set non-stop after school this week. I can’t give too much away but this couple has captured little people, lego men and even came under attact of another brand of pirates!

The Pirate attack left the Mighty World Adventure couple at the bottom of the pool! The paddles stayed connected to the canoe which was very reassuring to boy2001 and he said, “this is a really good canoe”.

Not to worry, boy2001 saved them and they survived! The Mighty World couple spent the rest of the afternoon hiking and capturing specimins in the driveway with him. Filling up the included cage with varying species, sipping from the water bottle, sunning themselves… They decided to head back to their camp for the night.

The Mighty World Couple drove down the driveway without incident for quite some time but suddenly they hit a roadblock and boy2001 couldn’t handle what happenned next.

Luckily there were some other great toys to help out where boy2001 left off, I’ll share the exclusive footage with you soon.

Check out all of the Mighty World toys on the Mighty World website and look for these toys where quality children’s toys are sold near you.

Are we there yet?
